Re Packaging Mr Bird
Mr Bird - Extended Player packaging and conceptualisation.
Tubbyphunk assisted their good friend Steven Bird aka Mr Bird to packaging his new EP, the sole aim to get him noticed!!!
One problem Steven had was a very small budget but wanted to create maximum impact with record companies and publishing houses, so it was back to the drawing board (we don't actually have a drawing board) for some good old lateral thinking, what would be cheap, create a splash and get Steven noticed?... Waste, good old fashioned rubbish. his task for the next week was to stockpile enough cardboard the create 100+ Packages, so utilising Newcastle Upon Tyne's China District he began the task of collecting the stock.
We then utilised a number of low cost techniques and products
- Spray Paint
- Stensils
- Hand Cutting
- Elastic Bands
- Home Made CDR's
- Printable labels
- Ballpoint pen
The finished products are very distinct which quite frankly is what we're good at! Steven soon received and offer and his EP is to be released soon
